January thaw

We’re enjoying a very early January thaw this weekend, with temperatures near 50 degrees. With warm air and cold ground a lot of fog was created, which of course makes for nice photos. I took some time during my weekly visit to the grocery store and found a pretty scene right near my house. This is Bald Peak Farm, at least a small part of it; this is where we go for syrup each spring. There is a large saphouse across the road and if you want to actually visit the trees that your syrup was made from, this is the place to go. Seven generations of the same family have lived here.
